A Voice and Nothing More will be presented at the international biennial Haunted by Waters - Into Nature (NL), taking place from 1 August to 25 October 2026.

Shot entirely through binoculars, in an experimental format between fiction and documentary, this new film from Priscila Fernandes imagines a future in which humans, on the brink of extinction, have given their voices to birds. A great bittern hosts the television show Birds Got Talent, in which birds perform apocalyptic songs carrying the echoes of human fear and the climate change that led to their extinction. The work blends real footage from a nature reserve in the north of the Netherlands with research into the impact of military technology on ornithology.

The title is borrowed from Mladen Dollar book A Voice and Nothing More, published in 2006 by MIT Press.
